Macky 2 is busy behind scenes in the studio perfecting his Third Studio album. Few months ago, the rapper announced the title of the album “Ghetto President” and since then social media hype has been stirred. The Kopala Swag and Alpha Entertainment boss has since released a few more Official and Unconfirmed singles from this much anticipated album with “Bwankonko”, “Don’t Leave” and Now “Tamiyewani (We Miss You)” (Snippet Released) being the latest release.
Late last year, Macky 2 was quoted on Radio 4’s HipHop Eardrum show emphasizing that he will not release an album until he has researched on what works best for the “International Market”. Therefore, its right to guess the “Most Influential” Zambian Artiste has found his way through the International Music Platform by now. But is it so?
Judging from his new singles on the table off the album, we are not sure which approach Macky 2 is using to penetrate the International Music Scene. The pressure from Loyal Zambian Music fans seems to be looming as they Crave for International recognition of their Biggest Zambian Music Stars. His former Rival and XYZ Frontman “Slapdee” seems to be heading there with Invitation to Coke Studio Africa being his most recent big International Achievement.
