Yesterday was a Historical day for Zambian HipHop and Music in General as 2 HipHop Heavyweights nearly filled up Woodlands Stadium. The show which was highly publicized by Vodafone turned out successful. This was the first Zambian Stadium concert to be headlined by Local Artistes without any support from Foreign Music giants from across African and the world at large.
Slapdee and Chef 187 headlined the “All Out For HipHop” concert while K.R.Y.T.I.C, Jay Rox, Mic Burner, Willz etc were the supporting acts. Cleo Ice Queen and Bombshell took the role of Hostees but also managed to put out amazing performances.
Among the Headlining acts, Chef 187 performed first giving a chance to King Dizo to Perform last and Bring it to a Standstill. Both rappers performed their new and Old Classics as the Heavy cheerful crowd sang and rapped along. The event’s most exciting moments were when Slapdee called up “Tommy D” to perform with Him “Kokolapo” and Bobby East to perform “For A Longtime”.
King Dizo also brought “Kantu” who chorused Remember, Looking for Love among his other hits. He further went ahead to pay tribute to His Deceased friend and Zambian RnB Star “P-Jay” by lighting up the venue with Phones and Cigar Lighters of which every fan did.
Chef 187 on the other hand brought out Urban Hype, Nez Long, Coziem, Dope-G among others to perform “Body”, Twikalafye Umuku Umo”, Van Damme, Mundowe Ndowe etc.
History was made Yesterday and Woodlands Stadium nearly Full with with more tha n 14, 000 people in attendance.
