Zambia’s International HipHop export and Australian based wordsmith “Sampa The Great” is this year’s “Mosi Day of Thunder” headlining act. She will be headlining the event alongside South African House music producer and Dj “Prince Kaybee” at the annual event on 23rd may in Livingstone.
Sampa The Great serves as the first artiste of Zambian descent to headline this highly attended and celebrated event. The rap prodigy dropped her debut album “The Return” late last year and has since earned a number of accolades. Her single “Final Form” off the album won ARIA Award for Best Hip Hop Release 2019. Prince Kaybee on the other hand has the raise the bar high in South African House music and consequently earned himself International acclaim. His notable hit songs include “Gugulethu“, Fetch Your Life and the most recent “Uwrongo”
“Mosi Day Of Thunder” will be supported by various local acts such as Slapdee, Macky2, Jay Rox and Natasha Chansa.
