The Annual Kwacha Music Awards are here and the nominees’ list has since been released by the organizers. The Ceremony which is scheduled to take place on November 2nd will mark the prestigious award’s 7th Edition.
This year’s nominees’ list is headed by rapper Jemax who has bagged 7 nominations in the categories for Best Mainstream/Pop Song, Best Hip Hop/Rap Song, Most Conscious Song, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration categories for the track “Mpawi“. He has also earned nominations in the categories for Best Male artiste and Album of the Year. This nomination sweep comes after the rapper boycotted last year’s Kwacha Music Awards and pull out his name from the nominee’s list after he was placed in the category for Best Artiste- Central Province.
Chile One MrZambia is the second most nominated artiste at this year’s KMA with 6 nominations in the categories for Best Male Artiste, Album of the Year, Most Conscious Song, Best Afro Fusion/RnB Song, Song of the Year and Best Collaboration.
The other artistes with notable multiple nominations include Chef 187 who boosts 4 nominations together with Drimz among others.
