Press Release: NUPPEZ Lufwanyama District Cautions Teachers Against Examination Malpractice

St Mary’s Mission, Lufwanyama, Sunday 27th October,2019 The National Union for Public and Private Educators of Zambia NUPPEZ Lufwanyama District Chairman Harrison Silomba has cautioned all teachers to resist malpractice temptations during this year’s examinations.

Speaking shortly after former St Mary’s Day Secondary School Head- boy who is also the ruling PATRIOTIC FRONT Information Publicity Secretary for Lufwanyama Constituency Henry Chilombo paid a courtesy call on him at his residence on Saturday.

Mr Silomba has since called on teachers in Lufwanyama District to continue upholding teaching as a profession.

According to the newly appointed NUPPEZ Lufwanyama District Chairman his union stands out as the best trade union of Choice to all Teachers aiming up grading.

Mr. Silomba said his union has a well established University which would be the best option for its members to enroll and obtain their desired qualifications.

He advised teachers to follow career progression strictly and avoid diverting when going for further studies.

Meanwhile, Mr Silomba took time to point it out that very soon once all the district positions are occupied the executive will, start its mobilisations in zones starting with Zone one to explain the benefits of Nuppez and why teacher’s in the district should be with the union which has taken a stance of never to be silent but to speak out for the benefit of the teaching fraternity and welfare of the teachers.

And PATRIOTIC FRONT Information Publicity Secretary for Lufwanyama Constituency Henry Chilombo assured all the labour movements in Lufwanyama District of the ruling party’s support.

However, Mr. Chilombo appealed to the union leaders to familiarize themselves with the governing party’s manifesto for them to understand why Education Sector is amongst the priority sectors that the leadership have taken seriously.

On 23rd October, 2019 the National Union for Public and Private Educators NUPPEZ appointed St Mary’s Day Secondary Acting HoD for Languages Harrison Silomba as new District Chairman for Lufwanyama.
