HipHop artiste “Slapdee” and Afro Pop artiste “La’wino” traded argumentative verbatism on Instagram in October. The argument all started when Slapdee posted a picture of himself and captioned it “Sun Is alone but still shines” but it seems this caption alone got the “This Lurv” hit maker’s attention and decided to drag the award the multi-award winning rapper into his lecture. The argument concluded with an advice from King Dizzo encouraging La’wino to take his energy to the booth.
Well, La’wino took his energy right to the booth and aimed it at Slapdee in a freestyle track. From the snipet, La’wino claims he has taken over the city with only two songs, “This Lurv” and “Loke Loke” which features Chef 187 whose video is expected to be shot in 5 different countries in Africa.
Recently Slapdee introduced a tooth brush challenge pledging to give the winner a K1000 and La’wino raised the bar by offering a K1500 for the winner of the Loke Loke dance challenge. The Loke Loke dance challenge has received an overwhelming response as short video clips are being received from different countries and continents of people dancing to Loke Loke.
In an interview, La’wino cleared the air saying he wasn’t in competition with Slapdee but was only trying to pay back for the support from his fans. Looking forward to hearing from Slapdee.
