Zambian music veteran James Chamanyazi has advised the  government to put up policies for the art industry.

Speaking in an interview with DJ PMC on Pan African radio James Chamanyazi said if implemented the policies will help the arts grow and protect the well-being of artistes.He added that most countries that have their art industry doing well have policies set up by their governments.

The singer who has been in the industry for over 24 years said everyone is a beneficiary of art in one way or the other, hence it is important that it is treated with the respect it deserves.
In the same interview, Mr Chamanyazi announced working on new music which he is yet to release soon.
