Jonathan Sinyangwe popularly known as Theproof is a Zambian gospel artist born on 26th November as a first child in a family of three where he has two brothers. He is a son to one of Zambia’s most prominent men of God Apostle Sunday Sinyangwe.

Jonathan grew up in a Christian home and he received Jesus at a young age. He calls himself Theproof because he believes that he is the proof that Christ lives and abides in him. At a young age he was inspired to start preaching the gospel through rap music, with his passion for music he discovered he could play drums and for years he has served as a drummer in his church.

His professional music career began in 2008 as a member of a group called the O.G saints, their first song was titled Praise the Lord. From there he has recorded quite a number of hits and has worked with some great renowned gospel artists like Pompi and Magg 44.

Some of his major projects include Theproof mixtape which was released in 2015 it had hits like Follow Follow, Mumani Ona and I Say.  He is set to launch his first album titled punishing failure on 8th December, this album includes songs like Punishing failure and Halleluiah.

Theproof noted that some of his major achievements in his career include using music to inspire, impact and build others. In 2015 he won a Kountapoint award for best new comer.

Aside from music the proof owns a record company/studio called City on a hill records and a talent development company called TheProofNation which aims at identifying, developing, nurturing and inspiring young talent. He also works with an enterprise called Be Your Own Kind an organisation that tries to help young people believe in themselves and raise funds to help children go back to school.
