Born on 17th July, 1991, Young Don whose Birth names are Danny Lishomwa Mwala is a  Hip Hop recording artist based in Lusaka. He is the second child of a family of 3 and was born in Kitwe’s Mwekera area where he lived for 10 years. He later moved to Mongu with his family where he attended his primary education at Mukoko Primary school and Secondary education at St. Johns Secondary School.

His first song “Y’all Niggaz aint true” released in 2009 at the beginning of his musical journey brought him recognition. He was named “The Flowstcha” by Mo Stally (worked with him on  Dont Leave & Found Love) after noticing the skill the rapper had on the mic. After moving to Lusaka, in 2012 he released “One in a Million” which featured Thomas. The song managed to receive massive airplay on several Lusaka radio stations and was positively reviewed by critics. A music video for One in a Million was released later though it wasn’t much of a success….

 

In 2014, Young Don did a classic Hip Hop joint “Keep Pushing” which set his music listeners ablaze. Songs like Egotistical Emcee, Underneath, Where my Hommies at, Cold Hearted feat. K-Slayer, ‘You’re Best’ followed later during the time he was signed under M-Identity which was later changed to 4th Profile label. In 2015 he featured on Mumble Jumble’s ‘Been Through Hell’ rap song which was received positively by listeners. Young Don is currently working on his most anticipated Mixtaped titled “The Actual Fact” expected to be released in the near future. The mixtape will feature a number of good artists. His Music Video for “Remember my face” featuring Linnah was a huge success and has since enabled him to gain much recognition. His latest releases include “My all” and “JoyFul Hatred” with Mumbe Jumble featuring Eddie Black
