Chef 187 is arguably the Best Zambian Lyricist of our Time whose Prowess on the Mic has caught the Attention of Music lovers and HipHop Heads. His rich lyrical content and Poetry mainly delivered in Bemba has earned the “People’s favorite Rapper” title.  The emcee released his third studio album called “Amnesia” on New Year’s Eve of this Year.

Amnesia literally means “Loss of Memory” and the fact that the rapper drew the inspiration of the whole project from this concept is quite fascinating. The album is heavily packed with lyrics of Motivation, Hard work and Hustle Inspiration for the Younger generation delivered as a full HipHop meal characterized by Lyricism, Poetry, Punchlines and Metaphors. Chef 187 brings an urban Sound on this  18 track LP as he fuses Kalindula, Afro-Pop, and Dancehall with HipHop.

“Laziness ni Fertliser yama Chushi/Nga ulefwaya ukafwe mupima yama tusha…” He starts the album with some motivation on “Intro/Betrayal”. This song is often alleged as a Subliminal to one of his former label mates but whether it’s true or not, only the emcee can clarify.

The rapper returns with Celebratory bangers like “Winning” and “Twikalafye Umuku Umo”, Zero To Zali” on track 2, 15 and 18 respectively. He thickens his Well Known Punchlines, Poetry, and sick bars on Classic Hip-hop tunes like “Good Teacher Bad Kasukulu (GTBK)”, Product of My Environment”, “Can’t wait to tell you i told ya”, “House Party Muka One Room”.

GTBK is one of the highly notable songs on the album and with production being handled by his longtime Collaborator and Producer “Tonny Breezy”, the trap song tops the favorites off the album. He narrates a puzzling situation of a Good Teacher and Bad Student on this Jam. “Experience batila ni Teacher/ how come shikwata Picture, Ma lesson bwingi shunfwa.. He lyrically wonders.

Chef 187 is sure to pen down Real life lessons worthy relating to on “Mundowe Ndowe”, “Complicated” “Angelina” “Ma Years”, “GTBK” among other jams on this masterpiece. For those who are addicted to dancehall and Club vibes, Amnesia has Heavy Dancehall songs like “Mukanwa”, “Zero To Zali”, “Ma Years”, “Angelina”. The HipHop Royalty officially sings off with a perfect Hustle Motivation theme titled “Outro/Bless My Hustle” despite lacing 3 bonus songs at the end.

On Production, the Lyrical genius gathers the Best Producers around to make sure the album gets the taste it deserves. The features too are all balanced up giving an Opportunity to both old and new artists in the game to help him polish it up.
