It seems Mumba Yachi’s tragic loss of his recording studio has turned into a blessing in disguise as the folk artiste continues to receive donations from well-wishers. The folk artiste’s studio called “Bamboo” was gutted with fire over the past weekend at night and all his equipment got burnt including CDs.
Fortunately, the incidence attracted attention from Social media users including his fellow musicians who decided to step in and offer a helping hand. Among notable celebrities who made donations include Yo Maps with Equipment worth K43 000, Mutale Mwanza who offered a Pledge of K33 000 either in Monetary form or a new Studio Building, Slapdee, Mampi and Macky 2 who donated K10 000 each, Bobby East and Alice Musukwa who donated K 5000 each. Singer Kadaffi has also donated K8000 while Mr. Bwalya Kalandaya of Kalandanya Music Promotions had donated K25 000.
The latest to have made a huge donation so far is Muzo aka Alphonso’s new found manager “Mr. Boniface Mulilo”. The Lusaka businessman has donated a piece of Land worth K75 000 to Mumba Yachi for development purposes. The donation was made through his company called Focus Real Estate under “Mulilo Group of companies”. The land is located in Lusaka’s Ngwerere Area.
