An initiative to build an online community that values at-home entertainment with an opportunity to give back to health workers in the fight against covid-19.
LUSAKA, ZAMBIA – Zambian Breweries has partnered with cement giant Lafarge Zambia to provide at-home entertainment through an online music experience; Mosi Vibes At Home happening on Saturday 23rd May, 2020 from 19hrs to 22hrs through Facebook Live.
The online event will target consumers across the country who are practicing social distancing and looking for enjoyable activities while they stay indoors. The partnership is about more than music and entertainment, the event is also part of the broad corporate social responsibility from the two organizations to channel funds towards the fight against the covid-19 pandemic.
“The Mosi Vibes at Home Party is a stay-home online music experience introduced to entertain our consumers from the comfort of their homes as they watch, dance and interact with their favourite local DJs and artists. We are aware that most of our consumers feel socially restricted and are reminiscent of the Mosi weekend experiences and this is our way of staying connected and advocating for safe socialising. ” said Sibajene Munkombwe, Zambian Breweries Head of Marketing who further emphasised on the importance of social distancing and encouraging people to stay home until it is safe. “As part of our corporate social responsibility, we will match the live views on our Facebook page and in partnership with Lafarge Zambia donate that amount towards the covid-19 fight to support our frontline health workers”, he added.
With the joint objective to use innovative methods to support safe community progression during the covid-19 crisis; Zambian Breweries and Lafarge Zambia have recruited technological support from AfriDelivery who will be available to deliver beer and cement in under 120 minutes to homes in Lusaka for orders made via the online app. “We are partnering with Zambian Breweries to bring you an event you can enjoy in the best Lafarge Cement built venue; your home!” said Petros Banda, Acting Sales and Marketing Director of Lafarge Zambia. “Customers who order Mphamvu Cement through AfriDelivery this week are in for an extra treat with a complimentary Mosi 500ml Can 6 pack. This is a convenient way for you to get Lafarge Cement delivered right at your door as we build better cities together”, he stated.
