Zambia’s International acclaimed Female HipHop act “Sampa The Great” is not happy with the less attention Zambian music and art in general receives from the Government. The rapper who is in the country posted her dismay and observation on Twitter.
When the government don’t take you seriously. Music is not even seen as a career or respectable job.

The rapper also went on to share her desire to open a music school in the country in another tweet. Although many people also blame music and art governing Bodies such as ZAM and NAC, the government is also to be blame for its lack of commitment. Many people people feel there is need for a system and music related structures for the industry to flourish.
Sampa The great is also collaborating with local artistes during her stay in the country.
Imagine if Zambia had a ‘School of Music’?
To bring home a ‘School of Music and Athletics’ has always been the long term goal. Hopefully it comes true.
