HipHop artistes Chef 187 and Bobby East have become the latest celebrities to air out their views on the indefinite closure of the Copperbelt University. The University which was closed by Education Minster Prof Nkandu Luo remains closed for more than 3 months without any word from the govt on when it’s likely to be re-opened. This has in turn induced worry and further criticism from the Public.
Chef 187 yesterday took it to social media to air out his concern. The Alpha Entertainment rapper emphasized the govt is sending a message that education is no longer a top priority in the country. “No one should even dare to justify the reasons for closing one of the highest learning institutions in the country..” Part of his social media post reads.

XYZ Entertainments CEO Bobby East also shared his sentiments about the issue yesterday on Twitter. The rapper called out the government on what he calls ‘Poor governance” and demanded the institution should be opened.

Bobby East and Chef 187 join the likes of Pilato and Macky 2 among other prominent Zambian artistes to demand for the opening of the second Highest Learning Institution in the Country.
