Nigerian actor Jim Iyke, who plays a role in the Zambian movie “Piyo” arrived in Zambia last week in preparation for the launch of movie on Friday, an event that had a great turn out.
However, he was scheduled to be in Zambia the previous week, but reasons given were that he missed his flight and the actor has finally explained further what took place.
During an interview of Diamond TV‘s On The Table with Chimweka Chileshe, Jim explained that he lives a hectic lifestyle as he owns an arm of the biggest travelling agencies in the world. The day he was supposed to fly to Zambia was the day they were also opening another brand locally in Nigeria, so by the time the producer of Piyo gave a go ahead to start off, traffic had delayed their journey to the airport, ultimately missing the flight by about 5 minutes.
The Nollywood actor says he did not panic and feels that it worked just fine because there were other events in Zambia around the same time alluding to the postponement being for the better as it would not split attendance and according him enough time to do media runs for the movie.
And on Zambian attitude towards work, he says Zambians are quite laid back in their way of doing things, choosing to take their time, but he came to understand that he comes from a different world and space hence the philosophies and perspectives expected to be different.
