King Dizzo has confirmed on radio Phoenix that he has records with AKA, Sarkodie & Wale. But those tracks might not feature in the Black Na White 2 album because he spent a lot of money on them and he doesn’t think the album will sell much to retain the money he spent. He cited that in Zambia people don’t buy albums. In addition Slapdee says those tracks are mostly HipHop and HipHop doesn’t sell much in Africa, HipHop sells much only in USA,. He gave an example of Cassper & AKA who he says are are only famous in their own country, its hard for them to have big shows outside SA.
The album will include mostly club songs because that’s what is selling out there, people love dancing. He also made reference to Wizkid, Davido, Diamond, Techno etc who are making money because of of club songs. King Dizzo says Music is business and it is about making money, therefore an artist should know what is selling much.
Commenting on Bobby East taking the chair of CEO from him, Slapdee said that they chose Bobby as new CEO because Bobby East has a strong character, understands new music & sound..
He further added that they are holding auditions because they want to re-brand XYZ with new sound and make music that will sell on international market.
However There is a Change of Venue, the Auditions will be held at Chainama Hotel instead of playroom and Entry Fee Is K30 for audience.
